Gawronski, who
is the current VAMP Vice
President, has been promoted to Vice President of Marketing and Business
Development with River Region Health Systems.

2008
Michael
Logue was named US Army Corps of Engineers Public Affairs
Practitioner of the Year worldwide (Michael C. Robinson Award) for his
role as PA Mission Manager of the Louisiana Recovery Field Office,
Hurricane Katrina Response, 2007. He also received the Corps'
worldwide emergency response communications award (Locke L. Mouton award).

Lynn
Foley, Wingate by Wyndam, was named Special Gifts Chairman for
the United Way Campaign.
June
2008
Christi
Kilroy, Vicksburg Warren Chamber of Commerce, gave birth to
James Thomas Kilroy III, May 8th. He was 9lbs 6oz and
21in.
River
Region was awarded a Gold Aster award for their 5th Anniversary
timeline ad. The Aster Awards recognize the nation’s health-care
marketing professionals for advertising excellence.
Ameristar
Casino opened its new 1,000 space parking garage May 25. A Grand Opening
was held June 7.

Mary
Lynn Thomas was hired by Riverwalk Casino as Public Relations
Director. Thomas was a founding member of VAMP.

Medical
Center
(members Diane Gawronski and Allen Karel) awarded Elizabeth Greer the
Patient’s Choice Nursing Award.
Chamber
of Commerce (member Christi Kilroy) hosted Dick Broderick of the Better
Business Bureau at their monthly luncheon.
DiamondJacks
Casino and Ameristar Casino were each chosen at WAPT A List.

Medical
Center
received the Award for Excellence for its banners ads that ran in the
Vicksburg Post and a Maggie Award in the category of Special Events
Community Service/ Education for the Women’s Health EXPO. The awards
were part of the Maggie Awards, Sponsored by the MS Hospital Association
Society for Health Care Marketing and Public Relations.
